Uniform
Dear Parents/ Carers,
I would like to take this opportunity to confirm the criteria for our new school uniform. I am very excited to inform you that Queens’ pupils will now be expected to wear a school tie and school shirt in the Autumn and Spring terms.
The jumpers, cardigans, trousers, and skirts will remain the same; the only thing that is changing is the addition of a school tie which will need to be worn with a shirt and not a polo shirt/t-shirt.
Ties will not need to be worn in the Summer term (after Easter); summer dresses and polo shirts can be worn then.
The tie has been designed to simply clip onto the collar of the pupil’s shirt so that they safe and are easily removed if accidentally tugged. They will be available in MatchFit school uniform shop on Weddington Road from the Summer Holidays onwards, priced at £4.99, white school shirts are available readily from George in Asda and any larger supermarket.
Our pupils will look extremely smart in their new ties and having spoken to plenty of the children, they are excited about wearing them and ‘showing off’ their school.
If anybody would like support with uniform purchase or have any questions regarding the new school ties, please speak to the Mrs Derrick or Miss Wakeling at the main Reception desk. Please see below our uniform from September 2016.
